ESSM was founded in Bamako with a clear mission: to bring reliable, field-proven technology to the industries that drive West Africa's economy. Mining, infrastructure, and public safety are the backbone of the region — and they deserve solutions built for local conditions, not adapted from elsewhere.
We started with a focus on AI vehicle safety for mining operations, where the consequences of equipment failure or driver fatigue are severe. That work taught us the importance of combining intelligent technology with human oversight — a principle that now runs through everything we do.
Today, ESSM operates across three service lines: AI vehicle safety monitoring, heavy machinery sales and support, and public surveillance infrastructure. Each is delivered by a team that understands the terrain, the regulations, and the operational realities of working in West Africa.
